Murdoch

Murdoch is the senior partner of the firm, having qualified as
a solicitor in 1971. Along with Ronnie Low he founded the original
firm, R. B. Low & Beaton , in 1976. He handles principally
commercial property, including the acquisition and sale of businesses,
commercial leases, commercial security transactions, and he represents
builders, housing associations and public authorities in the purchase
of sites and subsequent sale of individual units. His client retention
level is high and he prides himself on providing a friendly and
efficient service.

Melissa
Gilmour
Partner
Melissa graduated from Aberdeen University in 1996 and having been admitted as a solicitor in 1999. She was became a partner in the firm in 2003. She has been involved over the years in every aspect of residential property, including bulk acquisitions and sales and the creation of residential tenancies. Melissa is now in charge of all domestic conveyancing within the firm.

Ronnie Munton
Partner
Ronnie was admitted as a solicitor in 1973 and was a partner for more than 25
years in the firm of Wilson Chalmers and Hendry in Glasgow, latterly as senior partner.
He joined Low Beaton Richmond in 1998 and was assumed as a partner in November 2004. His
expertise and long experience cover a wide range of fields. He is involved in commercial
law in the acquisition and sale of business properties, commercial leases, and in commercial
conveyancing generally. He supervises the administration of charitable trusts and provides
legal advice to various individual charities. He is also a trustee in numerous trusts and has
long experience in the winding up of personal estates. As a resident of Largs, Ronnie can be
consulted in our Largs office by prior appointment if necessary. He was until recently
Secretary and Treasurer of the Largs Agricultural Society, a position he held for 21 years. |

Alan
Liddell
Consultant
Alan has been with LBR and the preceding firm since 1975. He was a partner in the firm since 1981
until his retiral in 2005 for health reasons. Having recovered his health he has remained with the firm
as a consultant and is based in the West End office. He expertise lies in domestic conveyancing. All his clients receive individual attention.

Yvonne Christie
Associate
Yvonne graduated in law at the University of Dundee and became a
qualified solicitor in 1989. Yvonne is in charge of conveyancing services
in the Largs office where she handles a wide range of transactions. Yvonne
is almost a local being a resident of Greenock. She is a deep thinker
being the Secretary of the Greenock Philosophical Society. Outside the
office she is keen on both coastal rowing and tandem cycling. It must be the sea air.

Scot Dickson
Assistant Solicitor
Scot is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen who, after leaving university became a researcher
and journalist in both television and radio. He joined the legal profession as a Paralegal in 1998 and
joined Low Beaton Richmond in 2000. Scot is based in the West End office and is in charge of conveyancing in that office.
He is friendly and approachable and has an extensive knowledge of property in the West End of Glasgow. |

Neil Cherry
Trust and Executry Practitioner
Neil has been practising as a Law Accountant and a Trust and Executry Practitioner
since 1968. He originally joined the firm of Richmond & Co. in 1990 and became an
employee of Low Beaton Richmond in 1995 after the merger of R.B. Low & Beaton and
Richmond & Co. Neil specialises in the administration of trust funds and in the
winding up of personal estates, including relevant tax advice and in particular advice
on inheritance tax. He is also the person you should contact if you would like to make
a Will or a Power of Attorney. He also specialises in providing legal advice to elderly
clients in those areas which specifically affect them. As a resident of Largs, Neil can
be consulted in our Largs office by prior appointment if required.

Stewart Wilkinson
Financial Adviser
Low Beaton Richmond LLP is authorized by the Financial Services Authority to provide independent
financial advice to clients, and Stewart is our one Independent Financial Advisor. A member of the
Life Insurance Association, now known as the Personal Finance Society, since 1995, he has been involved
with Low Beaton Richmond for almost 20 years. He specialized in providing mortgage and investment advice
and financial planning generally. Stewart is based in the Largs office but is available for consulting
in any Branch. Outside the office he is fond of mountaineering and sea kayaking. Must be the sea air again. |

Lynsey Clelland
Assistant Solicitor
Lynsey is the youngest member of our legal team having qualified as a solicitor in June 2008. Prior to qualifying she had four years experience working as a paralegal, after which she became a trainee and thereafter solicitor. She currently handles domestic conveyancing in our Renfield Street office and works closely with Melissa.
